Exotic India. As different from our culture as it is far from us geographically.
This is an eclectic selection from more than 2000 images I made during a month long tour with my brother-in-law Joe as my guide. It begins in Delhi and follows our trek north through Rishikesh, Rudrapryag, Gauchar, Joshimath, Auli and back to Delhi through those towns and villages and the town of Hardwar. This norhtern loup of our journey was a low key, spiritual visit to many places where religious pilgrims passed on their way north to the mountain holy sites.
We left Delhi again, this time traveling south to Agra, the tiger refuge at Rathampur and to Japur before returning to Delhi at the end of our journey.
There are images from the Red Fort, Humayans Tomb, Qutb Minar, Taj Mahal, the Lost City, the Amber Fort, the Old City in Japur and many other places and people.
Joe was a wonderful guide and companion during the trip. He lives in an ashram in the foothills of the Himalayas and has found piece and happiness there.
It was an extraordinary experience.
